I never thought I'd say this again but, I kinda wanna check out the new Metallica album.

So, wait. You mean to tell me that Chinese Democracy finally has an actual release date set, and it's set for just over two weeks from now? Huh. Maybe this means there's finally hope for a Duke Nukem Forever release after all.

Over the weekend, I decided to go through basically my entire CD-R collection in order to see what all I could identify. I don't spend a lot of time listening to the music channels on my cable setup, but I'm glad I decided to tune into Alternative (Uncensored) when I did today. I heard The Offspring's new single, which showed to me that their next album is finally going to be released in a few weeks! I'm looking forward to that.

I think I want to make a shirt that says "PUNK SOLD OUT" somehow.

This is probably going to be a longish rant about my thoughts on local radio stations, so I'm gonna go ahead and do an LJ cut to spare the uninterested.

Listening to the radio at work has proven interesting. Basically, I'm finding myself wondering why I used to like certain groups so much, or at least enough to buy one (or more) of their CDs. Why does Last Christmas, a sappy new wave song about a guy that was dumped on Christmas, receive such heavy rotation on radio stations during the holiday season? Eurgh. I'm just glad I only have to face one more work day before Christmas. Hopefully I won't have to hear it again for a LONG while after then.

I have a feeling I'm going to become thoroughly sick of Christmas music by the time we get to the actual day.
